Class Descriptions in alphabetical order

Body Blast: A fast paced combination of cardio and strength in an interval format to keep the heart rate up and calories burning. This class makes use of the barbells in the Group X room and may include step choreography.

Body Sculpt and Core: This total body workout is fun and easy to follow. The class will use a variety of equipment to build strength, coordination and stability. The class is ideal for all fitness levels.

Core and More: Come enjoy a class that focuses strictly on your midsection for thirty minutes! For the remainder of the time it will be the instructors choice whether to work upper body, lower body or do a full body workout. All fitness experience welcome! 55 minute class

Gentle Yoga: Would you like to increase your flexibility, relax your mind and become more in tune with your body as you work through developing your Yoga ability? If yes, then this is the perfect class for you! This class allows you to explore the limits of your own flexibility, while preparing you to move into additional forms of Yoga.

HIIT Boxing: A combination of High Intensity Interval Training for maximum fat and calorie burn. Come hit on the heavy bag, and do classic boxing conditioning such as jump rope, push ups and sit ups. Mat and gloves are recommended and available for purchase in pro shop. Please sign up within 24 hours of class.

Interval Cardio and Strength: Come in and get your workout all in one class! This class will alternate cardio and strength intervals. By the end of the class you will have worked your entire body.

PiYo Core Fusion: is a unique class designed to build strength, balance & gain flexibility. The moves fit perfectly together to form a class set to low key music filled with moves that are fun, challenging and will make you sweat. It's about increasing energy, power, and rhythm. Think sculpted abdominals, increased overall core strength, and greater stability. A sticky mat is required.

Power Circuit: This 55 minute class is a combination of strength training and cardio exercises that will keep you burning calories while you get a whole body workout.

Power Pilates: Pilates moves to increase heart rate while strengthening, toning, improving balance and stabilization. Fitness tools will be incorporated into class structure.

Quick Fix Cardio: If you like to workout early in the morning, then this class is for you. Designed to get your heart pumping and help you build your strength. All levels welcome!

Silver Sneakers ® MSROM: Muscular Strength and Range of Movement: Have fun and move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered to resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver Sneakers ® Cardio Circuit: Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

Spin: Indoor cycling is a complete cardiovascular challenge. Each participant can adjust their own workout on their individual bike. This class simulates a road ride and will incorporate music as a motivational tool.

Step Combo: Exciting music and fun choreography! This class is a complete workout designed to really make you sweat and keep you coming back for more! There is nothing like a great step class to help you achieve your results. Strength exercises may be part of the format.
Step Interval: Using the step, free weights and bands, this class alternates between cardio and strength to give a total body workout. This class may include balance and core conditioning. All levels are welcome as modifications will be given.

Turbo Kick®: THE ultimate cardiovascular challenge, complete with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength and endurance training and a flowing cool down. Participants will reshape their bodies in half the time by using upper and lower body movements together! Get moving to the hottest music around with high-energy, and cutting edge choreography. Turbo Kick® IS the evolution of kickboxing!

Yoga 1: This 75 minute Hatha Yoga class is appropriate for beginning Yoga students as well as advanced students wanting a deep stretch with a less challenging flow. Students are encouraged to practice Asanas, yoga positions or postures, at their own pace. Most Asanas will be performed in a sitting or grounded position on the mat. This class also incorporates Pranayama (breath work) as well as relaxation and meditation techniques.

Yoga 2: This 75 minute Hatha Yoga class focuses on a vigorous series of Asanas, yoga positions and postures. Yoga 2 incorporates many standing postures such as Sun Salutations, balance postures and standing Asanas in combination with Pranayama (breath work). Prior knowledge of Asanas or postures is helpful; however accommodations will be made for beginner students. This class offers cardio wellness along with relaxation and mediation techniques.

Zumba: The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
